Police in Montgomery County have released a sketch of the suspect accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a Gaithersburg park last month.

The attack happened about 5 p.m. on July 9 in the Green Farm Conservation Park, a wooded area near the Hadley Farms community pool.

The 21-year-old victim was reportedly approached from behind and attacked at knifepoint by an unknown man, police said.

The 200-acre park is bordered by Montgomery County Airpark and Industrial Park, Snouffer School Road and the Hadley Farms residential community off Woodfield Road.

The suspect was last seen leaving the park on foot in the direction of Brenish Drive.

Authorities described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his late teens to early 20s, 5’4” to 5’7” tall and 120 to 140 pounds. He was wearing a black knit cap, dark colored shirt, blue jeans and an olive green cloth over his face. The woman reported that he also smelled strongly of cologne.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident can call 240773-5070.
