Stabbing in Northwest investigated as a homicide

A teenager was fatally stabbed Saturday night in Northwest Washington, police said.

Officer Paul Metcalf, a police spokesman, said the victim was a male whose identity is being withheld pending notification of his family members. He said the incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Quincy Street NW. Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
