Sterling man charged with stealing laptop; met owner on Craigslist

A Sterling man was charged Tuesday with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony for stealing a laptop at gunpoint after setting up a meeting with the owner on Craigslist, Herndon police officials said in a release.

Mohamed Darseidia, 25, stole the MacBook Pro laptop on Dec. 27 after arranging a meeting with the owner in the 1000 block of Elden St., police alleged. The suspect fled the meeting after taking the laptop.

Darseidia is currently being held on no bond in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
