Alexandria police are seeking the public’s help finding a man they say entered the Shell Gas station on a recent Monday morning, implied that he had a gun and demanded money.

The man entered the store at 4670 Duke Street at 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 22, police said. A store employee fought back, according to police, and the man fled empty-handed.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect, who they described as a black male in his mid-30s who stands 5 ft. 10 in. or 5 ft. 11. in and has a “stocky” build. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call (703) 746-6853.
