Suspect sought in Langley Park slaying

Prince George’s County police are searching for a 19-year-old man who is suspected of fatally shooting another young man in the hallway of an apartment building on Kanawha Street earlier this month, authorities said Monday.

Police said they would charge Rudy Ismael Manchame-Guerra, who has no fixed address but is known to frequent the Langley Park area, with first-degree murder in the July 14 shooting of Saul Felipe-Augustine. Augustine was found fatally shot in an apartment building in the 1400 block of Kanawha Street, authorities said.

Sgt. Sonya Rorls, a Prince George’s County police spokeswoman, said investigators are still probing the relationship between the two men and what sparked the killing. Police have said Augustine is about 23 years old — though family members were unable to confirm his exact age -- and he did not have a fixed address.

Manchame-Guerra is considered “armed and dangerous,” police said. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s homicide unit at 301-772-4925 and refer to case number 12-189-2234.
