Post has been updated.

A 16-year-old boy driving an SUV crashed into an Oakton home early Monday, according to a Fairfax County police spokesperson.

The teen was the only person injured in the accident, which is believed to have been caused by a medical emergency. He was removed from the vehicle and transported to a hospital for life threatening injuries, officials said.

A building inspector assessed the structural damage to the home, in the 10000 block of Miller Road, according to a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue information officer.
