A sport utility vehicle plowed into a line of people in Columbia Heights Wednesday morning, injuring at least four, according to D.C. police and fire officals.
District police said the accident occurred about 11:35 a.m. in the back of a building in the 2900 block of 14th St. NW, between Harvard Street and Columbia Road.
D.C. Fire Battalion Chief Brian Lee, a department spokesman, said one seriously injured patient was taken to a hospital. He said three others were treated for minor injuries at the scene, while five people in the SUV were not hurt.
Police said the accident occurred in a back alley. Police said the people had been waiting in line, but could provide no other details.
