A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly ambushing and sexually assaulting a woman as she arrived at her Chantilly-area home earlier this month, Fairfax County police said.
The teenager has been charged with abduction with intent to defile and sexually battery for the attack, which occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 13200 block of Leafcrest Lane.
As the 29-year-old woman unlocked her door, a teenager came up behind her and forced her inside, police said. The attacker displayed a knife and then assaulted her. He fled on foot after the woman screamed, police said.
The victim was not injured and police said at the time that it did not appear she knew her assailant.
The teen is being held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center.
