A 17-year-old was seriously injured early Sunday morning after being assaulted in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the victim was walking with friends in the 100 block of Enterprise Street around 2 a.m. when he was confronted by several men.
One of the men approached the teenager and assaulted him, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The man then used a broken beer bottle to assault the teenager, authorities said.
The teenager was taken by friends to Reston Hospital but was later transferred to INOVA Fairfax Hospital, where he remains hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The suspect in the case was described as a 6’2” Hispanic male wearing a black polo shirt with gray and white stripes and blue jeans, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He also has a large scar around his left eye and is believed to be driving a green Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck, authorities said.
