A teenaged male was shot and wounded Wednesday afternoon in Northeast Washington, D.C. police said.
The victim approached a resident for help near 17th Street and Constitution Avenue just before 3:30 and said he had been shot, said Officer Paul Metcalf, a spokesman. The resident called police who responded to the scene.
The victim’s age and condition were not immediately clear. Police were investigating where the shooting took place.
