Temple Hills man killed in morning crash

A Temple Hills man was killed early Saturday when the Jeep he was driving apparently went out of control and flipped over on an exit ramp from the Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County, police said.

Byron Hilton, whose age was not immediately available, was driving a 1996 Jeep Cherokee on the ramp at Exit 4A in the Oxon Hill area when the vehicle drove off the left shoulder about 4:30 a.m., said Cpl. Anthony Washington of the Maryland State Police.

Washington said alcohol found in the Jeep might have been a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
