Montgomery County detectives charged two men early Thursday in connection with the Wednesday fatal shooting of a third man inside an Aspen Hill residence.
One of the suspects, Christopher Edwards, 20, was charged with second-degree murder and reckless endangerment. The other suspect was charged with reckless endangerment
Police said that about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday they received a report of a shooting in the 13200 block of Superior Street. Inside a residence, they found a young man dead of a gunshot. Detectives determined that the two suspects were inside at the time of the shooting.
“For reasons still under investigation, the third male was shot,” police said in a news release Thursday. Police have not released the victim’s identity.
Edwards remained in the house and summoned help, police said.
The third man, Andrew Ramos, 19, left the home and eventually was taken into custody and charged with reckless endangerment.
