Two motorcyclists killed in Pr. George’s crashes

A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a truck in the Beltsville area Wednesday afternoon — the second fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Prince George’s County in as many days, authorities said.

The most recent incident occurred just before 3 p.m. in the 11800 block of Old Baltimore Pike, police said. Police said a motorcyclist headed south crashed into the front right fender of a pickup truck that was headed north and attempting to turn left.

Police did not immediately identify the motorcyclist Wednesday afternoon.

The circumstances were almost identical about 9 a.m. a day earlier, when Carlton L. Frye, 41, was killed in a crash with an Infiniti on Livingston Road in the Fort Washington area. Police said Frye, of Fort Washington, was driving a motorcycle west in the 12300 block of Livingston Road and ran into the back portion of the Infiniti, which was headed east and trying to turn into a parking lot.

Police said it remains unclear who was at fault in that crash, which is still being investigated. The driver of the Infiniti, police said, was unhurt.
