Two men were wounded in separate Thursday afternoon shootings in Southeast Washington, police said.
In the first case, investigators are trying to determine where and why a man was shot after he walked into a hospital just before 4 p.m., officials said.
Minutes later, police responded to the 4600 block of Hillside Road SE, about 4 miles from the hospital investigation, said Officer Paul Metcalf, a police spokesman. The victim of that shootingwas found conscious and breathing,.
Police were looking for a man in his twenties wearing blue jeans who was seen fleeing the scene, officials said.
