Va. man charged in Prince George’s slaying

A Warrenton, Va. man turned himself in to Prince George’s County police Saturday in connection with a homicide earlier that day, authorities said.

Jack Sherman Rosenberg, 56, turned himself into police in connection with the Aug. 27 slaying of Glenn Albert Herzog, 52.
Jack Sherman Rosenberg, 56, has been charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Glenn Albert Herzog, 52.

Police describe Rosenberg as an acquaintance of Herzog, who was found fatally shot in his home in the 10100 block of Bignonia Drive in Laurel.

Police were called to the home about 1 p.m. for the report of a shooting. Herzog, who had been shot multiple times, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Five hours later, at about 6 p.m., Rosenberg turned himself in, police said. He is being held without bond in the Upper Marlboro jail.

Police say an argument between the men appears to have been the motive in the fatal shooting.
