Video: Armored car heist caught on tape

Police are seeking help identifying two suspects who carried out an armored car robbery in Clinton Monday.

The robbery was captured by surveillance cameras. Two masked suspects approached the victim from behind as he was transporting money in the 7800 block of Old Branch Avenue around 2 p.m., according to Prince George’s County police.

They brandished an assault rifle and a silver handgun, and demanded money from the victim, police said. The victim handed over the cash and the suspects fled the scene in a white van.

Police described the first robber as a black male, who is approximately 30 years old and 6 feet tall. The second suspect is also a black male described as about 30 years old and 5’9” tall.

Surveillance video shows the suspects dashing from a parking lot where an armored car is parked into a business, which appears to be a bank. They surround the victim and he puts his hands up. The suspects grab a large, black bag and dash out of the business.
