This word from City of Fairfax Police certainly puts the “but will I have to wear an ugly gown?” worry in its place when it comes to being in a wedding:
On Saturday, police state, five members of a wedding party reported that sometime after 4 p.m., while they were upstairs attending to the nuptials in Fairfax United Methodist Church at 10300 Stratford Ave., someone was downstairs in the fellowship hall stealing their purses.
Cash, credit cards, cellphones and identification all were reported taken.
