PIKESVILLE, Md. — Maryland state troopers who have died while on duty are being honored.
State Police Superintendent Marcus L. Brown is leading a ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the agency’s Pikesville headquarters.
Relatives of some of the 43 troopers who have died in the line of duty are expected to attend, including the family of Trooper First Class Shaft Hunter, who was killed in a crash last year on Interstate 95. His name will be unveiled on a State Police memorial.
Current and retired troopers are also expected to attend the ceremony.
