A Waldorf woman apparently shot and critically wounded her husband Tuesday night before turning the gun on herself, Charles County Sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies called to a house in the 3100 block of Heartleaf Lane for the report of a shooting found a man and woman inside about 8:20 p.m., said Diane Richardson, a spokeswoman.The man was flown to a hospital in critical condition. His wife was dead at the scene.
The man and woman were both believed to be in their 60s. Police have not yet released their names.
Authorities were investigating a motive in the incident.
