A woman was fatally stabbed Tuesday afternoon in an alley behind a Northeast Washington recreation center, possibly during a domestic dispute, D.C. police said.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of Morse Street and found a 42-year-old woman with stab wounds near the Joseph H. Cole Recreation Center, just after 3 p.m.officials said. Police took one man into custody near the scene.
The victim and attacker apparently knew each other, said a police source, who declined to be named because the investigation is ongoing.
The woman’s identity has not been released.
