A woman was groped from behind Friday in Falls Church and authorities are trying to determine whether the attack was connected to recent groping incidents in Fairfax County.
Friday’s incident occurred about 4:20 p.m. as the victim was walking with a baby stroller near South Maple Avenue and Gibson Street, the Falls Church police said. They said somone who approached from behind “forcefully grabbed her” in the area of the buttocks, and did not release her until she screamed.
Police said the man was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and thin, with hair that was short in the back.
He may have shaved off the beard that was described in earlier incidents, the Falls Church police said. They said he wore a gray long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a red baseball cap.
