Woman raped in Olney

A 22-year-old returning to her Olney townhouse from work was raped early Friday morning by a man who attacked her as she was getting out of her vehicle, police said.

The incident occurred just after 1 a.m. in the 18000 block of Wagonwheel Court, police said. Police said the woman was getting our of her vehicle when a man grabbed her around the neck, forced her to walk to another area and then raped her.

The man fled after the encounter, and the woman called police, authorities said. Montgomery County police described the suspect in a news release as black man in his mid-20s, about 5’8’’ or 5’9’’ tall, with a thin build. According to the victim, he used some type of clothing to conceal his face and hair, police said.
