Pothole problems for bikers near Crescent Trail

Nothing’s more annoying than blowing out a tire on your morning bike commute, right?

This trench forming at the end of Capital Crescent Trail under the Key Bridge could be problematic for biking commuters. (SeeClickFix)
Last week, a griper reported a trenchlike pothole developing near the end of the Capital Crescent Trail near Georgetown just under the Francis Scott Key Bridge. Flat tires were the most frequent fallout from the growing hazard along the popular bicycle commuting trail.

Within a day DC 311 had acknowledged the problem and a day later, closed the inquiry. We contacted the D.C. Department of Transportation to find out if indeed, the pothole has already been repaired.

We’ll let you know what we learn.
