Henderson witness list covers friend and foe

The witness list for Acting Chancellor of D.C. Schools Kaya Henderson’s confirmation hearing Thursday is chock-a-block with friendlies and critics. Thirty-seven speakers are teed up to address a range of concerns beginning at 11 a.m., including fired teachers, budget cuts and the untimely departure of principals at Burrville and Amidon-Bowen Elementary.

Henderson will have supporters out in force as well. Among them are Father Raymond B. Kemp, a Georgetown mentor, and two of her favorite high school principals, Peter Cahall of Woodrow Wilson and Ballou’s Rahman Branch.
