Affordable Wizards tickets to see Randy Wittman’s debut

So tickets to Wednesday’s Wizards game on StubHub are currently starting at $1.98 on StubHub.

On the one hand, it’s hard to beat a professional sporting event seat for way less than the cost of an Adams Morgan jumbo slice. On the other hand, you’d probably miss the start of the Maryland-Duke game.

On the one hand, you’ll only get one chance to see Randy Wittman’s Wizards head coaching debut. On the other hand, I’m guessing demand won’t price you out of Randy Wittman’s second, third and fourth home games in Washington.

On the one hand, Charlotte is just a half-game up on the Wiz, so this could be a glorious chance to see the home team emerge from out of the NBA cellar. On the other hand, these teams are a combined 5-30, have combined to lose eight straight games, and might be the worst combined draw in all of professional sports right now.

In any case, as of this writing, here are the numbers on StubHub:

10 tickets for less than $2.

253 tickets for $5 or less.

393 tickets for $10 or less, including several on the 100 level.

Obviously there are also plentiful seats available on Craigslist, including four in Section 107 Row K with this description:

Season ticket holder selling FOUR fantastic tickets for today’s game @ $30.00 a piece obo. See what happens when new coach Randy Wittman takes over the team.

Hard to resist, right?
