Anthony Armstrong points out Redskins beat NFC champs twice

Remember when Brian Orakpo pointed out last week that the Redskins had “smashed the Giants twice,” after New York advanced to the NFC title game?

Well, the Giants going to the Super Bowl won’t stop such talk, as evidenced by Anthony Armstrong’s Twitter feed on Sunday night.

The Redskins have now gone 4-1 against the eventual NFC champion over the last four seasons, despite never finishing with a winning record. And, as previously noted, if the Giants win the Super Bowl, the Redskins will lead the entire NFL in wins-over-Super-Bowl-champs over the past 11 years.

These notes come from Armstrong’s Twitter feed, obviously. They were first re-published by SB Nation DC.
