The Army-Navy football game will come to FedEx Field for the first time on Dec. 10, 2011, a source with knowledge of the situation said. That will be the closest to the District the game has ever been played. An announcement is expected later today.
The game has been staged in Baltimore several times, and has also been contested in Annapolis. FedEx Field was one of several sites bidding for upcoming games, including Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. This December's game is in Philadelphia, the most frequent host in the game's history.
