Atlantic 11 Week 3: Georgetown. Still.

Georgetown dominates this poll, now and forever. It's getting so boring that next week, the pithy comments will return. I know, I know, it's very exciting.

Anyhow, at least the midsection of the local basketball rankings were all shook up by Virginia's weird win over the Hokies. Virginia Tech falls from 3rd in the area to 7th, while Virginia jumps from 6th to 4th. In other moves, American falls from 8th to 11th, while Richmond jumps from 6th to 3rd. VMI and George Washington drop out of the rankings, while James Madison and Hampton enter the Atlantic 11.

Nationally, Georgetown is ranked 9th in the AP and 10th in the coaches' poll. No other local team got a single vote in the AP, while Richmond (3) and Virginia Tech (1) got small nods from the coaches.

Here are this week's results, followed by overall record, overall points and first-place votes.

1. Georgetown (8-0) 437 (42)

2. Maryland (6-3) 313
