Brad Lidge: Nats probably most talented team he’s played for

(Julio Cortez - AP)
Next up in the already sizable list of Nats players making crazy talk in the spring: Brad Lidge.

Lidge, you might recall, once threw the final World Series pitch for the Grand Poobah Champions of the Universe Philadelphia Phillies. Here’s his take on the 2012 Nats.

“Probably the most talented team I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on some great teams,” he said.

“We want to be in the playoffs,” Drew Storen also said in this video. “We’re not just saying we want to be .500 or anything like that. That’s not what we want. We want to be playing in October, and we want to win it.”

“It started at the beginning” Adam LaRoche said. “We had guys coming in a week early, just ready to come be a part of it, ready to come put the uniform on and get out there and start working out. That’s a great sign. It’s gonna be a fun summer.”

Then Ryan Zimmerman said something non exciting or quotable. Video below.
