 But he’s terrible at golf.

Orakpo hosted yesterday’s Leukemia Golf Classic, spending the day at the fourteenth hole of Trump National Golf Club, teeing off with each foursome in the tournament. And with each swing, it got funnier and funnier.

“The only thing I’m concerned about today is making contact with the ball,” he said early in the day. “Not whiffing on any.”

He learned the importance of yelling “fore” when he shanked a ball and almost hit Comcast SportsNet’s Kelli Johnson. Another errant ball ended up embedded in an event sign and volunteers had to bring him extra balls after most of his early shots fell victim to a water hazard.

“I don’t even want to know how many fish I’ve hit,” he laughed. “I’m terrible.”

But it was all in good fun, and no one was having more fun than Orakpo.

“At least you’re not risking injury like Trent did,” said Shanahan, referring to Trent Williams falling over on a previous hole after swinging too hard.

“This game is hard,” said Orakpo, who was swinging with a club about two inches too short for him while refusing to tee up his ball. “I don’t know how people get better at this.”

After a few good shots, Orakpo admitted that he could see why people love the game.

“Now I get it,” he said. “I can see why this is addicting.”
