Bryce Harper still doesn’t like Washington’s teams

In these confusing days where Gio Gonzalez will say “Hail to the Redskins” and pose for photos with Rex Grossman, when Bruce Boudreau will root against the Steelers out of cross-sport solidarity, when Jayson Werth will show up at Verizon Center in a Caps jersey and Alex Ovechkin will show up at FedEx Field in a Redskins jersey and DeAngelo Hall will describe himself as a huge Ovechkin fan, it’s nice to know that some people stand by their principles.

And so here’s Bryce Harper — avowed Cowboys, Lakers, Yankees and Duke fan — telling someone on Twitter that he still can’t get with those D.C. teams.

But at least he roots for the Nationals. And he stayed neutral on the MLS front, so maybe he’ll pick up D.C. United.

UPDATE: Someone has just doubled down. At least he’s bold.
