Bryce Harper’s eye black in L.A.

(Stephen Dunn - GETTY IMAGES) During his Major League debut late Saturday night, Bryce Harper’s major aesthetic statements came via his hair and stirrups.

By Sunday — a day game, in the bright Southern California sun — Harper was breaking out the eye black.

Maybe this was strictly utilitarian. But gosh, that’s a lot of eye black.
