I watch a lot of sports while running on a treadmill at the gym. Tuesday night was the first time that I have ever loudly yelped while watching sports.
The cause was a throw home from left field during the seventh inning of a non-competitive game. But dang, Bryce Harper can sure wing it. His 300-foot throw on what should have been a no-doubt sac fly was just absurd, and was ruined only by the umpire blowing the call at the plate (see below).
Even the baseball scribes were impressed.
“Holy hell. What a throw,” Kilgore wrote on Twitter.
“Oh my lord,” Mark Zuckerman added. “What a throw.”
The dude can do things that other people just can’t do. It’s gonna be fun.
