Bryce Harper’s upper deck home run

Harper has been having some problems at the plate lately, but you wouldn’t know it by checking out this 2-2 pitch he crushed to the upper deck during yesterday’s Saturday’s game against Miami.

The fun folks behind MLB’s twitter feed were clearly not impressed by Harper’s prowess and are still hung up on his ill-advised, bat-shattering display of emotion.

Remember the time Bryce Harper struck out and then broke his bat on home plate?

Man, I remember that like it was yesterday.

This, of course, led to all sorts of fun responses from the Twitterverse.

Obligatory clown references...

@mlb that’s a clown question bro.

Clown move bro RT”@mlb: Remember the time Bryce Harper struck out and then broke his bat on home plate?

— Michael DeLucia (@MDeLucia13) August 6, 2012

@mlb why wasn’t he ejected for that clown move?

Those with genuine concern for his well being...

@mlb somebody needs to teach that child some maturity and sportsmanship. At least he didn’t crack open his own head this time.

— Donna(@Donnavox) August 6, 2012

@mlb i hate when he does that, im afraid hes gunna hit his pretty face :(

— Paulina Vairo Harper (@Pau_and_Bryce) August 6, 2012

And my favorites, the ones who didn’t appreciate the question...

@mlb you tweeted that already. Get off Bryce

— Metstweets_12 (@MetsTweets_12) August 6, 2012

@mlb i sure do remember, it reminded me of him being 19.

— Joshua Christensen (@BeastModeVet) August 6, 2012

@mlb Remember when you never stop tweeting about him?

— Kyle Brown (@2KyleB) August 6, 2012

@mlb cool, but is it really necessary to show a 15 sec ad for a video that takes 7 seconds to get through?
