Caps fans taunting Tim Thomas with Obama signs

When Tim Thomas declined to accompany the Bruins to the White House for political reasons, lots of people wrote very serious stories.

But when the Boston goaltender arrived in Washington for Game 3 of the Bruins-Caps series, his White House decision had become a source for taunts and jokes. Like, lots of them.

The plan to use Obama images against Thomas sprouted up organically, spearheaded by several Caps blogs and fans on Twitter, and it resulted in a host of Obama heads surrounding Thomas during warm-ups Monday night.
