Cheap tickets to Opening Day? Expect it

Want to go to Opening Day without busting your monthly budget? You’re in luck. As I type, there are 217 tickets available on StubHub for $5 or less.

I mean, a beautiful warm April afternoon, with a chance to see a shape-shifting flamethrowing phenom begin his much-anticipated second season? For $5 or less? Even if you told me it was actually gonna be a cold and blustery April day, with a chance to see a 47-year old soft-tossing veteran begin his much-anticipated 24th season, I’d still jump on that offer.

As for the above image, it comes from a reader who wondered why the scroll on the Lerner-owned 20 M building would go with Nat’nals instead of Nationals, or Nats, or even Natinals. At least the last one has some history here.
