D.C. sports Halloween images

I don’t know that I’ll ever find a D.C. sports Halloween image as good as Abraham Lincoln with DeShawn Stevenson tattooed on his neck, and this is really a half-hearted effort, but here are a few D.C. sports Halloween images anyhow.

Above, the Jayson Werth pumpkin. So lovely. Via @JWerthsBeard. More below.

More Nationals pumpkins, via the team’s official pumpkin contest. This is strong work. Despite the fact that no presidents actually play for the team.

Taking a break from pumpkins, time for ordinary people dressed like

Alex Ovechkin. Via here, here and here.

There were also athletes dressing up, like Maryland’s Andrew Gonella and A.J. Francis. More here.

And former athletes dressing up, like LaVar Arrington, via Hogs Haven.

And columnists dressing up, like Mike Wise, via @EBJunkies. I guess I’m not totally sure if this was Wise, but I really want it to be Wise.

And more pumpkins, like this What Up Doe number, in honor of Brandon Banks’s Twitter feed, via Chris Cooley’s wife.

Here’s one of nine million Caps-themed pumpkins. This is from here, but there are dozens of others at RMNB.

And finally, many congratulations to Wade, for going to ridiculous lengths to construct this costume of Teddy winning a presidents race. Watch the story here.
