D.C. United players meet RGIII

D.C. United players Bill Hamid, Perry Kitchen, Brandon McDonald, Danny Cruz, Nick DeLeon and Joe Willis spent yesterday at Redskins practice checking out the team, taking pictures with fans and, of course, meeting Robert Griffin III.

“The highlight of the day – for sure – was meeting RGIII,” Kitchen said, according to the team’s website. “Even though I’m an Andrew Luck fan, I’ll definitely be pulling for RGIII.  After meeting him today, I want him to be successful and have a great career here.”

Brandon McDonald, who apparently got a shoutout from RGIII for his new hairstyle, seemed more impressed with Brian Orakpo’s size than anything else.

Bill Hamid, who is from Annandale and is a Redskins fan, tweeted that he got into some trouble for being a bit too enthusiastic.

Without the pic of the tackling dummy, that tweet could have meant so many fun things.
