D.C. United debuted its 2012 commercials during Saturday morning’s broadcast of the Liverpool-Arsenal match. The team later put a longer 60-second version on YouTube, seen above, via Black and Red United.
Among other things, the video appears to show a player lacing up some burgundy and gold boots. Burgundy and gold-ish, anyhow.
Also, I was at the team’s kickoff luncheon Monday afternoon, where I was assured by a fanatical and yet normally grounded United supporter that this would probably be a good season to pay attention to the club, if you’re into success and stuff.
