"You get older, and you do appreciate [the atmosphere] because you know it's not gonna be there forever," Gary Williams said on ESPN 980's Tony Kornheiser show Thursday morning. "And when you're a part of a game like that it's certainly a thrill as a coach, just like it is for a player. I told the players after the game, I said this is one of those games, when you start talking about when you played at Maryland 20 years from now, this'll be talked about, this game. I think the whole atmosphere made it what it was. That was a Cole Field House atmosphere."
It was terrific, for sure. If you weren't at the game, didn't storm the court and didn't see the riot police on Route 1, the Diamondback compressed the whole night into 79 seconds. This is good work here.
