Dundalk funeral home owner in ESPN spot

This is another day when I consider the Orioles worthy of Bog treatment.

Here’s the Errol Morris-directed ESPN commercial about death and fans and sports and weirdness. It leads with Chuck Kaczorowski, chairman of Kaczorowski Funeral Home in Dundalk, who sells Orioles caskets. Plus, he was a guest star on The Wire, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

“It’s been a wild ride, I don’t mind telling you,” Chuck told the publication.

“It was really just sheer luck, if you can call it luck,” Chuck’s son Mike added.

Read much more here. And the last image of the commercial is a Redskins gravestone, so save your Baltimore hate.

There’s also a short film by Morris on the same topic, which also leads with Kaczorowski, in this case talking about a Ravens-themed funeral.
