Everyone at Maryland is ‘Zaching’

When Mark Turgeon started “Zaching” on Wednesday, I wrote about that flexing pose that pays homage to Terps student manager Zach Lederer, who is battling brain cancer.

In the next 24 hours, long profiles of Lederer came out in The Diamondback and on NBC 4, and the thing kept growing.

“Zaching is spreading like crazy through Russia and Greece. I’m getting so many foreign friend requests,” Lederer wrote on his Twitter page.

“I scroll down my newsfeed quickly and all I see is biceps,” he later joked.

And meanwhile, the Maryland athletics department started “Zaching” like crazy. Like, above is the men’s lacrosse team, but they were hardly the only ones.
