George Mason’s ‘Party Rock’ midnight madness

(Courtesy George Mason athletics.)
Hey look, it’s new George Mason men’s basketball coach Paul Hewitt . Dressed like the school’s iconic pep band leader Doc Nix. Who dresses like a pimp.

And if that’s not amazing enough, please do watch the video below, featuring some of the trippiest pre-midnight madness full-court group dancing you’re likely to see this weekend.

Sure, basketball players dancing at midnight madness celebrations is somewhat old hat, but this one also features band members doing flips and chest bumps, break dancers, a grand entrance of the pimp/band leader with the men’s and women’s players, electronica, some dude with a cardboard computer on his head, and other assorted psychedelic musings. Go to 3:30, if you don’t have time for the whole clip.

George Mason does it right, you know.
