George Washington invites fans to ride Metro with the basketball team

Last month, George Washington men’s basketball coach Mike Lonergan announced that his Colonials would be riding the Metro to the BB&T Classic.

“It lets everyone know we’re regular people,” Lonergan later told The Dagger. “I think the people in D.C. will appreciate us getting on the Metro.”

Well, here’s your chance to show your appreciation, I guess. Monday afternoon, the school sent out this e-mail invitation.
