(John McDonnell - THE WASHINGTON POST)
The most dramatic moment in D.C. sports Wednesday night was the Caps’ triple-overtime thriller, but not by a wide margin. The Nats played another wild game, coming back in the bottom of the ninth behind Bryce Harper and Ian Desmond, the man who had just recently told reporters that he needed to increase his power hitting.
So when he knocked a two-run homer to give the Nats the 5-4 win, Charlie Slowes of the Nationals Radio Network (heard locally on flagship station 106.7 The Fan) got a bit excited.
This is a fun listen.
