Jan Vesely and his dad at the Czech Embassy

(Photos courtesy the Washington Wizards.) Here are Wizards rookie Jan Vesely, his father Jan Sr., and Czech Ambassador Petr Gandalovic sharing cookies and coffee at the Residence of the Czech Ambassador on Thursday afternoon.

The Vesely duo spent about an hour at the Czech Embassy this week. The younger Vesely has been to the Embassy several times, but this was his dad’s first visit. The elder Vesely lives in Prague and is in D.C. for a two-week visit, to watch his son play for the Wizards.

Thanks to the Wiz for the photos, which were also posted on the team’s Facebook page.
