Jeff Green to Green Room

If I'm counting correctly, The Washington Post will have at least four persons covering the NBA draft on Thursday, including a blogger who's going to New York primarily in the hopes of finding some sort of Wizards fan holding a funny sign.

Anyhow, we now have the list of players who will be in the Green Room wearing funny suits. There are 15 players, which is the pretty typical number. The Wizards, of course, pick 16th. I figure that means there's about a 95 percent chance there is still someone in the Green Room when the Wiz are up, and a 25 percent chance that the Wiz will pluck someone from that mythical place, which would possibly help justify the insane hotel rates in New York when that player accompanies all the WaPo staffers out for late-nite donuts. If not, I always can fall back on the NBA Cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!! clinic the Green Roomies will be putting on Wednesday afternoon.

Anyhow, the list, which naturally includes Jeff Green:

Corey Brewer (Florida)
Michael Conley (Ohio St.)
Kevin Durant (Texas)
Jeff Green (Georgetown)
Spencer Hawes (Washington)
Al Horford (Florida)
Yi Jianlian (China)
Acie Law IV (Texas A&M)
Joakim Noah (Florida)
Greg Oden (Ohio St.)
Rodney Stuckey (Eastern Washington)
Al Thornton (Florida St.)
Brandan Wright (North Carolina)
Julian Wright (Kansas)
Nick Young (USC)

Fox Sports ace and former WaPo contributor Jeff Goodman analyzes the Greenies with an eye towards which one is most likely to be by himself at the end, and decides either Stuckey, Young or Law. Having advanced Texas A&M to the Final Four, and still feeling that it was the correct pick, I can't help but think that Law will be a fine NBA player once the Wizards take him.
