John Lannan says: Vote Michael Morse

I have to say, I’m mostly indifferent to these VOTE FOR THE LOCAL POTENTIAL ALL STAR!!!!!!! campaign things. For one thing, there just aren’t enough D.C. sports fans for this to make a difference. Or at least, unemployed D.C. sports fans willing to spend all day clicking. For another, I mostly ignore All-Star games in favor of guacamole, or, barring that, black bean dip. Or even split-pea soup with veggie sausage. Love that.

But fine, some people enjoy supporting the home town heroes.

Many of Morse’s teammates have campaigned for him online (Drew Storen, Collin Balester, John Lannan, and so on), but Twitter has a slightly smaller reach than MASN, and so Lannan took his act to the dugout. Very nicely done.

And if that doesn’t convince you, maybe Morse’s post-game hair might do the trick? This is from a few days ago, but still. Or, you could follow @VoteMorse.

(Also, the Nats reporters have reported that Morse is now using B.o.B.’s “Beast Mode” as his walk-up music, at least occasionally. I hope 22Fresh is giving Morse lots of free stuff.)
