John Thompson Jr. in a 1996 Taco Bell commercial

It’s not quite 1920’s throwback, but thanks to reader @AmmerTime, here’s a behind-the-scenes video from a 1996 Taco Bell commercial starring former Georgetown basketball coach John Thompson Jr.

It appears that the premise of the commercial, which also stars Bob Knight and Rick Pitino, that the coaching legends are trying to woo a recruit with tacos. I can’t find the finished version anywhere, but I like to think it ends with Knight throwing tacos at his lost recruit.
