No doubt you remember when Clinton Portis caused a brief stir this fall by wearing a Phillies hat to meet the media a few days before the Redskins were set to face the Eagles.
I’m not sure how that compares to John Wall wearing a Flyers hat. On the one hand, it’s the offseason, and the Wizards aren’t getting ready to play the 76ers. On the other hand, the guy who signs Wall’s checks sort of also signs the checks for the Caps, and Caps fans likely hate the Flyers more than Redskins fans hate the Eagles, and unlike Portis Wall can’t really argue he was color-coordinating, at least by the looks of things.
If I’m Ted Leonsis, anyhow, I think I send a box full of Caps gear to Wall’s home.
